It seems too slow? What do I do? Ring Designer works best if you have a faster modem, with a connection speed of 56k or better. If your connection speed is slower, you can still design a custom class ring, and even print a pre-filled order form. You can design your ring in the Low-Band ring designer - after you have selected a ring collection, but before you design a specific ring - by clicking the "Go to Low Band Design Experience" link in the lower right hand corner of the flash designer. If you are in the process of designing a ring and want to switch to low band, do not save your ring, and simply click "start new" and then click the "Go to Low Band Design Experience" link in the lower right hand corner of the flash designer.

I'm getting lots of error messages. What do I do? Ring Designer works best with faster connection speeds (modems with a connection speed of 56k or better, or cable/DSL), newer browsers (versions 5.0 and higher) and Flash 6.0. You can choose to upgrade one or all of the above. If you don't wish to do this, you can still design a custom class ring. If you are in the process of designing a ring and want to switch to low band, simply click "start new", do not save your ring, and then click the "Go to Low Band Design Experience" link in the lower right hand corner of the flash designer.

What happens if I have problems with my browser? Ring Designer works best on newer browsers (versions 5.0 and higher). If you have an older browser, we suggest you update to a newer version. You can also try closing your browser and start over. You can still design a custom class ring, regardless of your browser. If you are in the process of designing a ring and want to switch to low band, simply click "start new", do not save your ring, and then click the "Go to Low Band Design Experience" link in the lower right hand corner of the flash designer.

How do I update Adobe Flash Player?
Update the Adobe Flash Player by visiting this link: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash  

How do I update Adobe Reader?

  1. Save your ring design.

  2. Click on this link: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html (if link does not work, copy and paste the URL into your browser). 

  3. Click the "Download Now" button. NOTE: if your pop-up blocker is on, you may have to click the yellow bar (security warning) at the top of the browser window to allow the install to run. 

  4. You will receive a pop-up asking if you want to install this software. Click "Install". 

  5. You will see the Adobe Download Manager installing Adobe Reader. Upon completion, click "Ok". 

  6. Return to your Jostens Ring Designer tab or window, and now you can print your PDF. In the event that Ring Designer closed, sign in and load your saved ring design. NOTE: You may have to click "Accept" to accept the Adobe Reader license agreement before your PDF will generate.

How do I access the Ring Designer? To access our online ring designer, please complete the following steps:

  1. Go to http://shop.jostens.com/default.asp?dept=RINGS_HS

  2. Select the state that your school is located in 

  3. Enter your school name in the “School or Group Name” field and click “find” button.

This will launch the ring designer. Please note that Ring Designer requires Flash player version 6.0 or greater, and a Web Browser with version 4.0 or greater.

I want to choose a new ring. How do I get back to browse the ring styles/collections page to browse more rings? Click the "Start New" link to go back and browse ring styles.

I’ve completed my design. How do I edit my ring? From the ring designer completion page, click on the edit icon. From the page titled "My Shopping Cart", click on the edit icon. This will launch the ring designer where you can edit your ring.

How do I switch to Flash if I’ve chosen Low Band? If you choose Low Band to design your ring, but change your mind and want to use Flash instead, simply click the "Get Started" button in the banner above your products. 

How can I view all the options I've selected? To review a list of the features and options you chose for your ring design, click the "Review" link in the top navigation of the Ring Designer design menu. To review each option individually, click on each option bar in the design menu to navigate between different options. Once you've put a ring in your cart, you can still view your selections by clicking on the magnifying glass icon. You can edit your ring options by clicking on the edit icon.

How do I print my Order Form? Launch the ring designer and complete a ring design. If you do not know how to get to the ring designer see: How do I access the Ring Designer? Once you have designed your ring online, please do the following to print your pre-filled order form:

  • From the ring designer completion page, click on the print icon. You will be required to enter some information to be printed on the order form. When finished, click "Generate PDF Form." Once the order form has loaded, click the Print Icon within the order form frame. Using the browser’s print button will not work. If the order form does not appear, you will need to download Adobe® Acrobat® Reader®. You can download directly from the site by clicking on the indicated link. See: How do I update Adobe Reader?

  • From the page titled "My Shopping Cart," click on print icon, this will launch the ring designer. There, click on the print icon. You will be required to enter some information to be printed on the order form. When finished, click "Generate PDF Form." I saved my ring, but it's not in my cart. How do I access my other saved rings? After designing your ring, if you hit "Save" on the top navigation, then your ring is only saved to the "My Saved Rings" section in the ring designer. Your ring will only be saved to your cart when you print, buy, or share your ring design from the completion page. Access the completion page by clicking on the "Design Complete" bar in the design menu. Complete the following steps to access all of your saved rings:

  1. Visit http://shop.jostens.com/default.asp?dept=RINGS_HS 

  2. Sign in using the navigation box on the right, using the User ID and Password you chose during registration.

  3. Click on "High School Class Rings". This will launch ring designer.

  4. Click on the "My Saved Rings" button in the upper right hand corner. This will display all of your saved rings.

How do I access my saved ring? If you did not register with our site, your ring design was not saved. Your ring will only be saved to your cart when you print, buy, or share your ring design from the completion page. To access saved ring designs from your cart, please use the following steps:

  1. Visit http://shop.jostens.com/default.asp?dept=RINGS_HS 

  2. Sign in using the navigation box on the right, using the User ID and Password you chose during registration

  3. Click on "My Cart" at the top of the page. From here you will see your previously saved rings where you can print, edit, view, send and delete.

If you are in your cart and do not see any of the rings you saved, you can view your saved rings by clicking "High School Class Rings" on the left side navigation (which will launch ring designer), and then click on the "My Saved Rings" button in the upper right hand corner. 

How do I send a previously saved ring? Your ring must be in your cart in order to send it. For instructions see above. To send a picture of the ring you designed, complete the following steps:

  1. Visit http://shop.jostens.com/default.asp?dept=RINGS_HS 

  2. Sign in using the navigation box on the right, using the User ID and Password you chose during registration

  3. Click on "My Cart" at the top of the page

  4. Click on the Envelope icon located under "Actions"

  5. Enter the appropriate name (if needed) in the "From:" field

  6. Enter the email addresses of those you wish to send the ring design to

  7. Click "Send"

In order to access a ring design that has been shared with you, please click on the link or copy and paste the website address into your browser window.

Why don't I see everything change on my ring? We display three sides of your ring to ensure you get a view of all options that affect the outside of your ring. Options that affect the inside of your ring, or others can't see, such as engraving, palm side and ring size do not display.

How come I don't see the name of my school on the ring? Many rings tops (bezels) are displayed with your school’s chosen names. If you don’t see your custom bezel name, please contact your Jostens Representative for details.

How do I see my custom school mascot and symbol? Many ring sides are displayed with your school’s chosen mascots. If you don’t see your mascot, contact your Jostens Representative on Order Day to view your custom school mascot and symbol.

How do I know the price of the ring I designed? The ring price, if available, displays under the design menu in the middle of the page. If no pricing is shown, print a quote to take to your Jostens Representative or call our Customer Service team for a quote.

How do I print the image of my ring from Ring Designer? When you have finished your design and have saved your ring, click the "print" icon. Page two of the order form is a larger picture of your ring design, so fill in the form and print page two.

Or, if you’d prefer, capture a screenshot of your ring design, and then print that image:

  • Creating a screenshot from a Mac - With Ring Designer as the active application in your window, hit 'Command' + 'shift' + '3.' This takes a picture and places it on your desktop. Double-click on the image to open and print.
  • Creating a screenshot on a PC - With Ring Designer as the active application in your window, hit the 'alt' + 'Print Screen' buttons. Open Microsoft Word and select 'paste' in the Edit section or simply hit 'ctrl' + 'V'. The image will appear in your Word document and you can print from there.
