Community Involvement
For more than 26 years, the Jostens Foundation has supported organizations in their work to create strong communities and healthy families and children. The Jostens Foundation is committed to ensuring that its strategy best serves the needs of its customers and plant communities, as well as its employees and sales representatives.
Investing in Young People
Guiding the Foundation's giving and support is our focus on youth and education and programs that help young people become healthy, productive adults. The Foundation's total annual giving is $500,000.
Each three to five years, the Foundation determines or renews its main area of
focus for its giving based on Jostens' vision and an area of significant community
need.
In order to avoid situations that could create a conflict of interest, the Jostens Foundation is unable to contribute directly to school, school districts, school programs, or school foundations. Because of company policies or federal tax law, the Foundation cannot consider grants for:
- Schools, school districts, school programs, or school foundations
- Organizations involved in highly political or controversial issues
- Churches, religious groups or programs primarily sponsored by religious organizations
- Individual applicants or groups for support of their personal needs, including travel
- Political campaigns or political lobbying activities
- Benefit fund-raisers or tickets to fund-raisers
- Recognition or testimonial events
- Fundraising campaigns to eliminate or control specific diseases
- Fraternal, veterans or professional associations
- Athletic scholarships or activities
- Advertising sponsorships
- Endowment campaigns
- Capitol Funding
