As a Jostens' representative, Mahaffey helps support the mission of each school she serves, working with educators to inspire and motivate students to make the most of their school years through graduation.
"We have a great opportunity to make a positive difference and are involved in some of the most important events in the lives of students and their families," said Beth Mahaffey, Jostens. "Receiving the Elmer Duerst Award from Jostens only reinforces the importance of education, educators and our schools."
Nominations for The Elmer Duerst Award are made by the Jostens' Sales organization and management team. While a number of representatives are nominated each year, only one individual is recognized with the Elmer Duerst Award. Elmer Duerst devoted a lifetime to helping schools, students, and Jostens' representatives become successful. He served first as a teacher and coach, then as a long-time Jostens representative in Wisconsin and Nevada, and finally as a legendary sales trainer for Jostens.
