Jostens has announced the 2010 Jostens Renaissance® Hall of Fame inductee and Coordinators of the Year. The awardees were honored at the annual Jostens Renaissance National Conference on July 16 - 18 in Orlando, Florida.
The Jostens Renaissance Hall of Fame award is presented to educators who demonstrate exceptional leadership and results in improving academic achievement among all students at their respective school as well as on a state and national level through their Jostens Renaissance program. This year’s Hall of Fame Inductee was Dwight Carter. Mr. Carter is the Principal at Gahanna Lincoln High School in Gahanna, OH.
Jostens Renaissance’s Coordinator of the Year award honors school administrators and faculty members who have demonstrated superior performance and achievement in the operation of their school's Jostens Renaissance program. This year Jostens selected five winners for this highly honorable award: Jostens Renaissance Coordinators Laurann Cacioppo and Charlotte Lacey from William Davies Middle School in Mays Landing, NJ; Jostens Renaissance Coordinator Kris Nardini from Liberty Junior High School in Liberty, MO; Assistant Principal John Bush from Coffee County Central High School in Manchester, TN; and Assistant Principal Mitchell Lefkowitz from Rockwood Summit High School in Fenton, MO.
“Jostens is honored to recognize these incredible educators who have been inducted into the Jostens Renaissance Hall of Fame and selected Coordinators of the Year,” said Charley Nelson, director, Educator Services, Jostens. “Educators play an integral role in the development of our students as leaders. Through their passion and dedication these awardees have made a difference in their school climate and communities by encouraging increased academic performance, attendance and behavior.”
Over 4,500 schools across the US and Canada use Jostens Renaissance as a method to inspire students to achieve higher grade point averages, increase attendance and help improve the overall school atmosphere and culture. The program demonstrates how well-designed recognition of all students, faculty and staff can lead to improved academic performance, help increase graduation rates and build school spirit through strategies, practices and connections to successful schools that are part of the Jostens Renaissance network.
