Jostens collaborated with the Texas Rangers to design and create a stunning ring to capture the story of the team’s 2010 American League Championship win over the New York Yankees in a dramatic 6-game series. The diamond-laden rings were presented to Texas Rangers players at a ceremony prior to the game at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, Texas on April 2.
The Rangers’ championship ring symbolizes a franchise first in bringing the American League Championship home to Arlington. Crafted in 10 karat white gold, the ring prominently features the Rangers “T” logo created in diamonds against a red stone background. The familiar logo is surrounded by 137 round cut diamonds.
“The Texas Rangers have enjoyed our relationship with Jostens in the production of our 2010 A.L. Championship rings,” commented club CEO & President Nolan Ryan. “The reaction of our players and staff on receiving the rings has been overwhelming and we have received numerous compliments on the design. We also appreciate the excellent service provided by Jostens during the ordering and distribution process. It has been a great partnership.”
One shoulder of the ring features the State of Texas flag set with blue and red stones and 9 round brilliant diamonds. Each ring is personalized with the player’s name. The opposite ring shoulder features a detailed image of Ranger stadium, the American League logo and “Rangers” to incorporate icons that are important symbols of the Texas Rangers’ legacy.
The total weight of the Texas Rangers’ championship ring is 59.10 grams and the total diamond weight is 2.9 carats. The ring was designed and produced at Jostens’ fine jewelry facilities.
“Jostens was honored to assist the Texas Rangers in capturing the story of a memorable season with an exquisite ring,” said Chris Poitras, director, Sports Marketing, Jostens. “The 2010 American League Championship ring reflects a milestone in Rangers’ history and recognizes the significant accomplishment by players, coaches and the entire organization.”
