The Dallas Mavericks today announced that Jostens, a leading designer and producer of custom jewelry, has been selected to capture the team's 1st NBA Championship through a one-of-a-kind championship ring that will be delivered at a special ceremony in January. A team of Mavericks players and staff have collaborated with master jewelers from Jostens championship jewelry team to create custom rings for players, coaches and members of the Mavericks organization.

"We are excited to be working with Jostens to create our first Championship ring," said Mavs owner Mark Cuban. "After we saw their outstanding work on other rings, we knew they would create an unforgettable ring for our players to commemorate our first championship."

The unique ring will recognize the Mavericks incredible 2011 season and celebrate the first Larry O'Brien NBA Championship Trophy for Dallas. The entire championship experience from Jostens will help the Dallas Mavericks organization and their fans celebrate the NBA championship season that culminated in a 4-2 series victory over the Miami Heat in the 2011 NBA finals.

"We are honored to have the opportunity to work with the Dallas Mavericks to design and produce their first NBA Championship ring," said Chris Poitras, director, Sports Sales and Marketing, Jostens. "Our master jewelers are working closely with members of the Mavericks organization, including players Jason Kidd, Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Terry, to create a brilliant ring to recognize the team's accomplishment."

The team is also working together with Jostens to create a collection of jewelry and collectibles for Maverick fans to celebrate and remember the championship.
