The Columbia Scholastic Press Association [CSPA] announced Crown Finalist publications in December 2004. Gold Crowns and Silver Crowns were awarded on March 18 at the CSPA Scholastic Convention in New York.

The National Scholastic Press Association [NSPA] named Pacemaker Finalist yearbooks in February 2004. Pacemaker and Pacemaker Finalist were awarded on April 9 in Seattle.
