About our diamonds
Put the experts to work for you
There is an art and a science to selecting a diamond. And we take care of it for you. You choose the setting; our expert jewelers and gemologists will select the most appropriate diamond for it, evaluating the 4Cs and choosing from a quality range that optimizes value and elevates the beauty of your design.
We use H-I color and I1 clarity diamonds. All our diamonds have a very good cut grade. A Certificate of Appraisal that documents stone quality is included with your order. Keep this information in a safe place, and share it with your insurance company.
The 4Cs: color, clarity, cut and carat weight
Diamond grading is based upon a scale created by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). All our diamonds are certified to be conflict free. Just like people, no two diamonds are the same. The value and beauty of a diamond is impacted not by one or two of the 4Cs; it is a combination of the four that bring it to life.
Color Color is a term that refers to a diamond’s body color. The less color in the diamond, the rarer and more costly it typically is. The GIA's diamond color-grading scale ranges from D, colorless, with increasing presence of color down to Z, the most color. The near colorless range provides an excellent balance of quality and value, since it is difficult for an untrained eye to see color within this range.
Clarity Clarity is the existence or absence of naturally occurring inclusions in a diamond. Virtually all diamonds have some sort of inclusion in them. Diamonds are carefully graded using 10x power magnification to determine clarity. Most inclusions are not visible to the naked eye, and the presence of an inclusion does not necessarily make it inferior to a similar diamond.
Cut Cut refers to the quality of a diamond's symmetry; its proportions and angles, and how these affect the beauty of the stone. These combined elements allow the diamond to capture light, reflect it and return it to the eye. The cut also takes into account the skill of the diamond cutters and polishers. Cut is a very important characteristic and has the greatest overall influence on a diamond's beauty. Cut is divided into five grades:
Excellent - Very Good - Good - Fair - Poor
Carat Carat is a measure of weight. One carat weighs 0.20 grams. A carat can be subdivided into 100 points. For example a ½ carat equals 50 points or .50 carat, a ¾ carat equals 75 points or .75 carat, etc. When a piece of jewelry has accent stones or side stones, those are added together and listed as TCW (total carat weight).
Choosing Your Gold

Jewelry Care
Care and precautions
We highly encourage you to call your insurance company to ensure your jewelry is covered. Specifics about your ring can be found on the packing slip; your insurer may ask you for these.
To preserve the beauty and luster of your jewelry, wash in a mild detergent in lukewarm water and rinse. Then, dry with a soft, clean cloth. Do not use any type of brush, sharp instrument, or rough cloth for cleaning.
To protect your jewelry from permanent damage, avoid any contact with mercury or harsh chemicals. The effect of mercury and harsh acids on gold is severe and permanent. Remove your jewelry before coming into contact with such harmful agents.
To safeguard against damage and personal injury, always remove your jewelry before engaging in sports or heavy labor.

Sizing/Resizing
A few tips: It’s a good idea to measure at the end of the day. It’s also good to measure three times to ensure accuracy. Avoid using string as a measuring device; it twists and is inaccurate. When buying a thicker band, go up a half size. You can contact customer service for help anytime.
