HOST A FAMILY YEARBOOK NIGHT

CONNECT OVER YOUR YEARBOOK, TONIGHT.

When was the last time you flipped through your yearbook? High school? A year or two? Five years? At your high school reunion? If it’s been a while, dust off your yearbook and show your family a piece of history by hosting your first Family Yearbook Night! Here are some ways to take the fun to the next level:

MAKE A GAME OUT OF IT

The first person to find a mullet or portable tape player wins. The winner gets to pick the next thing to search for. Many old yearbooks feature outdated technology, hairstyles and fashion trends that you can point out to your kids.

SHARE OLD NOTES

Each person can take a turn reading some of the hilarious or memorable messages from the friends and teachers who signed your yearbook. This is a great way for you to reminisce while giving your family a glimpse into your past — you might even find a long-lost love note to recite!

SELF REDISCOVERY

While Family Yearbook Night is all about having fun and bonding over memorable moments from your past, it’s also a great opportunity to talk about life lessons, where you grew up and the person you were in high school.

SHARE THE MEMORIES

If you see something that needs to resurface, take a picture and shareit on social. Who doesn’t love being tagged in a throwback photo? Better yet, take a selfie with your family and encourage your friends to do the same! Don’t forget to tag us using @jostensyearbook and #myjostens.

HAVE FUN

No matter how you decide to spend Family Yearbook Night, take the time to laugh about your discoveries. Yearbooks have all sorts of old-school traditions, bold style choices and memories that you can look back on together!
